Car Parking
- One large car park, on the left. It is off road.
- Parking is free and it has plenty of spaces avaialble.

Notable Information
- There are multiple poo bins available.
- Dogs must be on the lead when getting in and out of your vehicle, as the car park is by the side of the main road.
- If it has been raining, prepare yourself for a muddy walk! Wellies or walking shoes are a must!
- Sometimes this is a popular dog walking area, but at other times it is quiet and peaceful; quite often you can be the only people on the walk.
- As this walk is close to Bristol Airport, you can occasionally hear aircraft landing/taking off.
Walk Outline
- The walk starts by turning right out of the car park towards the character house and Combe Lodge' on the left-hand side. There are two paths to choose from at the fork. Go left!
- Once past the gate dogs can be let off the lead, but a point to note here, there is a large cattle grid that smaller dogs could potentially fall in.
- When you reach the start of the woods there are two options. Either straight on or left, up a hill. There are different markers you can follow (either red or blue) and you will see them when entering the woods. There is a large information board, which shows the different routes.
- We prefer the walk directly ahead, as this is in the valley, where we have found from experience it is safe to let dogs off the lead so they can enjoy a good run-around and play! They cannot go far and they get a great chance to burn off energy. There is a left turn at the end of straight, followed by a left to a steep climb!
- This walk has many varied and lovely views, from large natural, unmanaged trees/forest, which leads to the rock face. once on top, there are great views of the surrounding country.
